K2 (8,611 m) is the second-highest mountain on Earth. The trek to Concordia follows the Baltoro Glacier to a junction at about 4,600 m, ringed by giants — three other 8,000-metre peaks stand within 20 km of K2.
It is one of the world's great trekking journeys: serious, remote and unforgettable, and best planned with experienced support and the right permits.
