A turquoise lake born of a landslide.
In January 2010 a massive landslide dammed the Hunza River at Attabad village, and a new lake slowly filled the valley behind it. Today its turquoise water is one of the most photographed sights along the Karakoram Highway.
Take a boat across the lake, try jet-skiing or fishing, and drive through the tunnels cut into the cliffs on the way to Passu.
