Breakfast facing Nanga Parbat.
Fairy Meadows is a grassy plateau at about 3,300 m beneath the Rakhiot face of Nanga Parbat — the ninth-highest mountain on Earth at 8,126 m. A national park since 1995, it is reached by a thrilling jeep track from Raikot Bridge followed by a trek on foot.
The reward is pine forest, wooden cabins and an unobstructed view of the Killer Mountain. The peak you see from the meadow is actually the North Peak (7,816 m) — the true summit hides behind it.
